Craftsy in the (new) house!

You may have heard me mention I have been preparing my second online video class for Craftsy. I spent a fun-filled, very busy week with my awesome production team from Craftsy in mid-December filming my next online course — which is about to launch very soon! Oh my goodness, I’m SO excited about this new class because it is all about QUILTING FUN, and I get to teach and share something I absolutely love……a MYSTERY QUILT CLASS!!!!

That’s right — my newest online Craftsy class will be called CHAIN OF STARS Mystery Quilt!

My awesome production team from Craftsy spent a week with me here in Virginia, and they transformed from studio from this:

I just love working with these guys. We have so much FUN! Although we all worked really hard during the shoot, we shared lots of laughs, and I’m sure I made enough mistakes to fill another blooper reel. (Someday, I may share the blooper reel from the first Craftsy shoot……but that’s another story.)

(Poor Adam — he never had any leg room. Tuffy stayed at his feet throughout the entire shoot!)

I’ve designed this new, exclusive CHAIN OF STARS mystery quilt class just for Craftsy. You’ll be able to choose one of four sizes — Crib, Wallhanging, Double/Queen or even King size! I have made the quilts in four colorways — and I’ll provide you with all the fabric ordering information if you’d like to make your mystery quilt using one of the colorways I chose from gorgeous Robert Kaufman fabrics.

Choose from gorgeous batiks:

Traditional floral:

Fun, fanciful, whimsical:

Or cute juvenile prints:

Or you’ll be able to pull fabrics right from your own stash — which is the perfect way to use up those gorgeous fabrics you already own!. I’ll show you how to select the proper values of your fabrics so no matter which fabrics you choose, your quilt will be absolutely beautiful! No worries — just SUCCESS!

So, I want to THANK the talented and creative team from Craftsy — Adam, Justin, and Rob — with all my heart.
I can’t wait to do it all again!

  6. Hi Kimberly – I just signed up for your mystery class – I have taken your other craftsy class as well and love it – I know this quilt will be fantastic! I wish we weren’t under a tornado watch right now I’d be going to the quilting store today! Hun – or I could go look at all the fabric I have stashed in my garage! Take care and see you on craftsy!

  7. Signed up for the mystery and I look forward to working on it when I return from my cruise. I’ve always enjoyed your mystery classes and I recommended this one to several of my quilty Twitter friends!

  8. Signed up for Chain of Stars Mystery Quilt class on Craftsy today, and I DID pinky swear not to look ahead before I finish my first block…
    Tempting…

  9. I love your beautiful studio. The white and blue are beautiful and inspirational. I had the luxury of converting a 2 and a half car garage into a studio and it has made sewing so much easier and more fun. Thanks for sharing!

  10. Your studio is so lovely. I’m glad they were able to do the shoot there.
I love the fabrics you are using for the mystery quilt so I ordered the kit from Craftsy. My fabric should arrive tomorrow. I was too afraid to choose my own fabrics since this is my first mystery quilt. I think it will be lots of fun to follow you step by step with the same fabric.
I do hope to see you become a regular feature on Craftsy. Your teaching style is fantastic and I love the quilts you make.

    • Thank you so much, Kitts! I’m sincerely honored by your sweet comments and so glad that you are taking the mystery quilt class on Craftsy! You made my day!!!

  11. I had lots of fun making the mystery quilt, I made the wall hanging for my first attempt and it turned out Great, now I am looking for fabric to make the king size for my bed. I love the way the pattern turned out. I look forward to your next mystery quilt.

  12. Hello Kimberly,

Remember me? I just signed up to Craftsy and was pleasantly surprised to see you on there. Have enjoyed reading your blogs and what’s going on in your life. I’m proud of you. Love, love, love your sewing room. I’m in the beginning process of re-doing my sewing room, wanting to make it more user friendly and hopefully to have my quilting friends over for some fun. I never have taken an on-line quilting class and would love to take your mystery class, but am a little nervous. You go girl, your doing such a great job. Barb
