Lunch in a Rainforest and the passage of time…

During our recent trip to London over the Thanksgiving holiday, we went to lunch at the Rainforest Cafe to celebrate Andrew’s 10th birthday. We had a marvelous time — especially Andrew — when the waitress brought out a banana split and everyone in the restaurant sang “happy birthday” to him!

While we were there I snapped this fun photo of the boys sitting on these cool “animal-legs stools.” After we returned home, Josh surprised me by showing me the photo below (I completely forgot I took this shot!) which he has kept in his desk drawer since our visit to the Rainforest Cafe during our trip to London over the Thanksgiving holiday in 2001. Wow – these photos really put into perspective just how much they’ve grown!

  1. This is too funny! You need to make a point of visiting a Rainforest Cafe in another 5 years or so to take a third picture, then you’d have a series.

  2. I’m so glad you got a kick out of these photos as I did. They just make me laugh! We’ll definitely plan another visit to the Rainforest Cafe, if for no other reason than to take “growth” pictures!
