Cheeto says, it’s finally time to share the news!

Cheeto and I are sew excited to announce my newest print line of fabrics from Benartex called Cheeto’s World! I’ve been working on this line for months and since it will finally be arriving in shops in a few weeks, I thought you might like to see more about this bold, bright, beautiful line of focus prints and eye-catching blenders: all Cheeto approved, of course!
This new line is all about our sew-special kitty, Cheeto, and his buddies. We have three rescue cats besides Cheeto including Toby, Remy and Miss Tater. So the main print is called “Cheeto and Friends.”

Cheeto and Friends comes in two, vibrant colorways: Blue and Purple
I couldn’t design a line without some wonderful panel pieces, which are perfect for a wide variety of projects including quilts, totes, home-dec items, and even clothing! I took special care to ensure that each of these panel designs have even-sized measurements (they are divisible by 2) so they can be inserted into patterns using just the simplest of math calculations.

Would you like to see the actual photos that inspired these designs?

There are so many tiny “Easter egg” details in these panels that feature my original quilt designs, my signature “pink velvet pincushion,” my love of Janome sewing machines, and much more. My heart went into creating these designs — and the accompanying blender prints — and I hope you’ll be as excited about these pretty prints as I am!
The second main print
I truly love the smallest of details and pure, saturated, clear color. I think these prints reflect my passion for this line!

Elegant Kitties: in Grass and Blue
I absolutely adore this sophisticated print called Elegant Kitties. It is a bit “Vera Bradly-ish” in style, which makes it perfect for so many projects. It is elegant with a hint of whimsy. If you look closely, the kitties are peeking out from behind the floral motifs! I used this print to make a recent tote bag, the Doable Duffle (pattern by Ma Tante Quilting).

This duffle bag was so much fun to make and I loved adding the custom design details on the side pockets by using the kitty-cutie selvage edges!

One of the Cheeto panels was perfectly sized for the zipper pocket inside the duffle bag!
