Actually, I found both Poppy and Tuffy enjoying a nap this morning while soaking up the warm sunshine on the sofa in the living room. Looks like a great way to spend the day after all the festivities, doesn’t it?

  1. Too funny!! We are babysitting my daughter’s cats, Tortilla (“Tia”) & Taco while she & her hubby are in Mexico for the holidays. I wish we could give them the run of the house, but my dog Maggie Mae would devil them to death, and my own cat, Junior, would be highly offended. They are currently confined to my daughter’s old bedroom and have taken a liking to a bassinet-sized antique crib we had in there for the grandbabies. I am fortunate no one took a picture of me after a few too many cosmos at my sister’s house on Christmas afternoon. I’m getting too old to be over-indulging!!

My husband gave me a nifty extension table for Baby, my featherweight, so it looks like she will be coming to Lancaster with me all decked out! My next mini project is a colorful caryying bag for the extension table. I’ve been telling her all about her coming adventures with Kimberly’s QHC Mystery Quilt and the Flying Geese Crossing quilt. I have ordered extra bobbins and needles for her, and will be warming her up on your January mystery quilt. Baby is VERY excited (and so am I)! My Bernina, however, is jealous.

I have a special surprise for you at the QHC — a belated Christmas gift. Nothing big, but just a little something to remind you of another fast friend you have made quilting.

  2. Pat — It sounds like you had a lovely — and fun — Christmas! And I’m sure all the cats and dog did too. And how exciting that your husband gave you an extension table for your Singer Featherweight. He’s a keeper, for sure! Can’t wait to see your Baby with her new accessory in Lancaster, but more importantly, to see you!
