So tickled! (Updated Wed. July 11)

 Bragging Sharing Rights

My Mom taught me never to brag. It is very un-lady-like and much too boastful. But I’ve got some news that is just too wonderful not to share with you all. So instead of saying “bragging rights,” I’ll say they are “sharing rights.” Okay, that works, right?

For all you quilters on the west coast — or who might be in the Ontario, CA, area next January — now is the time to register for classes at the 2013 Road to California Quilt Show! I’m very honored to be part of next year’s amazing faculty of instructors. This will be my first time teaching at this top-notch quilting event. But even more exciting, the show organizers wrote to tell me that when registration opened over the weekend, my Lone Starburst class was the very first class to sell out in only 6 minutes! My Jelly Roll Magic Class has also sold out, but there are a few (a very few) spaces left in my other classes. So head on over to the website and reserve your spot now!

As for me, I’m grinning a goofy grin and doing the happy dance over here!

(UPDATE! Due to the overwhelming request for the Lone Starburst class, the show organizers have added another class on Wednesday, Jan 23rd. Currently, that class is open for registration for those who were on the waiting list. However, the class will open for registration next Tuesday. Hope to see you there!)

  1. I am one of the people who signed up for your class at the Road. I got your class but when I hit submit, I got a message that said “Server error”. By the time I reentered everything it was 10 after and your class was closed.
What I’d like to know is if there is a way to still get your pattern. Its not as good as you teaching it but I could work on it myself.
    Thank you,
    Pat

    • Pat —
They just added a second class of Lone Starburst on Wed. There are still openings!

    • Hi Pat –

I’m so sorry to hear that you had trouble with the registration system. Did you know the show organizers added another class on Wednesday? I hope you can get in! Let me know — and I’ll see you there!

  2. I too was one who signed up, then the system froze! I got on the waiting list and they opened up the new class for wait listers on Wednesday. The class will open up to others next Tuesday. So excited I got in! See you in california.

    • Tamara –

I’m so happy to know you got in the class, too! Terrific! It will be a ball. See you next January!

      • Tamara –

YEAH! I’m thrilled you were able to snag a spot in the class! We’ll have a great time. See you next January!

  3. Kimberly,
That’s fantastic news! And you so deserve this recognition!
Will you be judging there as well?
    See you soon, Birgit

    • THANK YOU, Birgit!
I won’t be judging there — just teaching (and giving a lecture) and having a ball!

  4. I am enrolled in your Craftsy class. I purchased your wonderful Jelly Roll Magic book specifically for the Lone Starburst pattern. I can’t wait to start on that one, but all the patterns are great! I have taken quite a few Craftsy classes and honestly, you are the best instructor and I’ve watched your classes the most. Thanks Kimberly!
