End of summer get-away

Sometimes, everyone just needs to get away.
Unplug. Decompress. Rest. Relax. Unwind.

When the opportunity presented itself at the very last minute
for us to do just that, we hesitated only a minute and then decided to GO.

It was a good decision. I left my laptop behind (which was really hard)
and hopped on a plane bound for Colorado (which was pure bliss!)
Cool weather, clear blue skies, crisp, breezy nights…..
…in God’s country.

What a perfect way for summer–which was filled with
time spent with good friends–to come to an end.

And what a wonderful way for us to gear up for a
new school year full of exciting possibilities ahead!

It was a gift. A lovely, unexpected, gift of time to share with my family.
To laugh, to breathe deep, to make memories.

And to thank the Lord. For abundant blessings and joy.

Refreshed. Relaxed. Rejuvenated. And ready.
Ready for a wonderful new season in life!

 Yep, I’m ready!

  1. Great pictures. Glad that you were able to get away. We drove up to Georgia last week for a few days of R & R. #2 son starts back to college next week, so it was our only opportunity.

    • Hi Jocelyn!
So glad to hear you were able to get away for some R & R, too! I’ll bet you’re not quite ready for your son to head back to college, right? Make his favorite meals this week and enjoy the time together. It goes by really fast!
