I LOVE Vermont!

Just dropping in for a moment to say hello from beautiful Vermont!

I arrived on Monday and spent all day yesterday and today judging an amazing group of exquisite quilts for the prestigious Vermont Quilt Festival! My fellow judges were (from left to right) Cindy Erikson, Mary Stori, and Barbara Broshous. I’ve had a wonderful time with these terrific gals.

Classes begin tomorrow and I’m so eager to meet the students. My first class is the “I Love Vermont” Mystery Quilt Class. Can’t wait.

I’ll be back soon with more updates….

Until then, happy Wednesday everyone!

  1. Many thanks. We had a ball at your class. Glad to have the opportunity to get pictures with you tonight at the Show and Tell. Hope to see you again, and have a safe trip home.

    • THANK YOU for coming to show and tell and sharing your quilt tops! I was the luckiest teacher at VQF — and was so proud to have had you come to show and tell to support me! Do keep in touch, and stop back soon. I hope to be sharing some of the photos we took of the group of us!

  2. Hi Kimberly,

I was in your “Those lines are on that mat for a reason” class. I enjoyed it and learned so much. I was the one in the back right (from your viewpoint) who had a lot of questions and got so much help from you and my classmates.

I bought a larger mat and a lazy susan mat from Olfa.

I ordered the Jellyroll package but could not find a place to ask you to sign my book. I won a packet of squares about 4 or 5 inches each side and am going to put them to use.

Your enthusiasm, sincerity, and great sense of humor really got my quilt motor humming. Thanks so much. I will be on your site regularly.

    • Denise — I remember you very well! I’m SO happy you got a lot out of the rotary cutting class. You won’t regret buying a larger mat, and the lazy susan mat will just revolutionize the way you cut small units. You’re going to LOVE it! 🙂
Due to the July 4th holiday, there was no postal service yesterday. But your book bundle package will be winging its way to you today — you should have it in a day or so!
Thanks again for all your kind comments. You have no idea just how much I appreciate them! Hope you’ll be a regular blog visitor — and will drop me notes and comments often. I love hearing from you!

  3. P.S. I LOVED your Bustiere quilt displayed at the VQF!!!

    • Thank you, Denise. I love that quilt, too. It was just so much FUN to make and embellish!

  4. Kimberly:
I enjoyed the Vermont Stay Mystery class. I stayed up all night after show and tell just to complete putting it together. Thanks again. Nice meeting you .

    • Billie –
How exciting! It just tickled me no end to hear that you were so excited about finishing your quilt that you stayed up to put it together! I’m so glad I got to meet you at VQF. You are just such a wonderful gal. And thank you for coming to class! If you have a chance, please send me a photo of your finished quilt. I’d love to share it on the blog! 🙂
